About Me
My name is Becky Kimbler
I grew up in Oldham County and then moved away from Kentucky in my 20’s. Years later, missing “home”, I returned and found Shelbyville to be just that - “home”. I worked alongside my mom at her business in LaGrange, Serendipity Cafe. It soon expanded into Cafe, Gifts and Sweet Shoppe. We were there on Main Street for 13 years. All the while I was driving back and forth each day from Shelbyville. In 2018 my parents decided to retire, and I decided to move the part of the business that was my passion to Main Street in Shelbyville, my “home”. I had been in contact with the Shelbyville Main Street Manager, Eilene Collins, as she was helping me find the perfect new location. One night she called and said, “I found the perfect spot!” Serendipity Kandy Kitchen opened its doors, at 519 Main Street, during The Celebration of Lights Festival in November of 2018.
